This homemade pistachio butter is pure bliss, made with freshly toasted pistachios! đ Whether you're spreading it on your morning toast or gifting it to someone special, this creamy treat is sure to bring joy with every bite!
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups of raw pistachio kernelsÂ
1-2 teaspoons of honey (optional, for sweetness)
1 tablespoon of olive oil (for smoothness)
A pinch of sea salt (to enhance the flavor)
Optional: A splash of vanilla extract (for extra depth)Â Or
Optional: A pinch of cinnamon (for extra warm)
Instructions:
Toast those pistachios! đ°
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the shelled pistachios in a single layer on a baking sheet. Toast them in the oven for about 7-9 minutes, stirring halfway through. Once they're fragrant and lightly golden, take them out and let them cool down for 10 minutes.
Blend, blend, blend! đ
Transfer the cooled pistachios into your food processor. Add a pinch of sea salt to bring out the flavor. Now, blend away! Youâll first see the pistachios turning into a fine meal, then clumping together, and finally, theyâll turn into smooth, creamy pistachio butter. If your machine starts getting warm, stop and let it cool down for a minute before continuing.

If you like a little sweetness, add honey to taste, and give it another blend. You can also add a splash of vanilla extract or a pinch of grounded cinnamon if youâre feeling fancy!

Taste your pistachio butter and adjust the salt or sweetness if needed. Blend again to incorporate any adjustments.

Once itâs all creamy and perfect, transfer your pistachio butter into a clean jar. Let it cool to room temperature, then seal the lid.
Storage:
Keep your pistachio butter at room temperature for up to 1 week. For longer storage, keep it in the fridge for up to 1 month.

Want a crunchy twist? đ Set aside about ½ cup of the toasted pistachios, then blend the rest as usual. Once youâve got that creamy goodness, throw in the reserved pistachios and blend just until you reach that perfect crunchy texture!
